Teen Programs

Voyager is now expanding its teen programming to provide youth with engaging opportunities, skills and recognition. We offer monthly Teen Night Out events, leadership opportunities, community service, and weekly summer adventures. 

Communities that Care (CTC)

Our CTC Youth Engagement group has kicked off for January 2023.  We are still in the works for what the group's project will be.   This group will be a voice for teen/youth initiatives and help guide the coalition and community toward meaningful programming.

Age Group 14-18

Teen Cafe @ the Ridgway Library

Every Thursday we provide an activity for youth to attend to:
​

  • Week 1 : Set a goal for the week (or month)

  • Week 2 : Writing/reflection prompt

  • Week 3 : Arts and Crafts

  • Week 4 : Learn a skill/guest activity

 
Age Group: 12-18

Safe and Sober After Prom

Voyager is proud to collaborate with Juvenile Services to sponsor the annual After Prom party which includes wonderful games, food, and hundreds of dollars worth of prizes!
 

Creative Arts with Dragonfly

Dragonfly Arts and Voyager are collaborating to provide monthly craft nights for youth in the community that want to learn a specific craft skill or just decompress with some creative arts! Transportation and snacks are provided.

Age Group 12-15

Lunch Groups

In partnership with Juvenile Services, we sponsor prevention topic lunch groups to middle school and high school students in Ouray and Ridgway. Topics include: Internet Safety, Transition from Middle School to High School, Healthy Relationships, and Healthy Bodies.

Mock Accident

Every four years, we collaborate with Juvenile Services and local first responders to spend time educating youth on dangers of drinking and driving.
