Thank you for supporting our annual Ski & Gear Swap - on pause this year. Keep the stoke high with:
What's a Gaper?
A "clueless" skier or snowboarder distinguished by their bright colored clothes or jeans and often a Gaper Gap - the gap between goggles and a helmet/hat.
What's the Contest?
A fundraiser for Voyager Youth Program. Locals of all ages from the northern San Juan region submit photos for a chance to be a famed Gaper of the Year. Voting happens during Gaper Week (opening week of Telluride Ski Resort) and the winner is immortalized in the Gaper Hall of Fame.
Now - Nov. 18, 2026 Sumbissions
Submit a Gaper photo for the contest. All ages are welcome to submit. Voyager will then choose the top entries for Gaper Week voting.
